No : Wine 1.3.x was a development release, so 1.4 is not just bugfixes for it. Only as a backport.

I know but as we don't have to put "beta/rc" in core/release on stable distro, I think it will be good to update wine of 1 to stable release.

There are a lot of fixme: messages in the console, but the
programs are working.

This is the way WINE indicates what functions are still not written. Nothing new since previous release.

I don't think so. It's version is independent from wine.

Found a bug in depcheck which accounts for the links it found so this isn't affected by 'that bug' after all, removing the depends.
