As far as I can determine Mageia 2 includes only lib64dbi-devel, libdbi-devel, lib64dbi and libdbi which is only part of the solution needed for Gnucash and other software to use a SQL back-end such as MariaDB (MySQL), PostgreSQL or SQLite3. One also needs the libdbi-drivers for this to be a complete solution on Mageia. As I am interesting in using Gnucash with a DB back-end to eventually be able to use it with multi-users, these drivers are necessary for that. The URL on this request points to the location to download the necessary files to build for a RPM. Typically on Mageia these drivers might be packaged as lib(64)dbi-dbd-(backend), on other distributions such as Fedora 17 they are shown differently. Examples from Fedora 17: libdbi-dbd-sqlite-0.8.3-9.fc17.i686.rpm libdbi-dbd-sqlite-0.8.3-9.fc17.x86_64.rpm libdbi-dbd-pgsql-0.8.3-9.fc17.i686.rpm libdbi-dbd-pgsql-0.8.3-9.fc17.x86_64.rpm libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.8.3-9.fc17.i686.rpm libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.8.3-9.fc17.x86_64.rpm Unfortunately I do not know where one might find a spec file to adapt for Mageia. However, this URL might help: http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libdbi-dbd- Please add these back-end drivers as soon as possible. Thank you.
