Description Frank Griffin 2012-06-13 22:49:12 CEST
I'm trying to install MGA into a VBox VM for exclusive use as a webserver. I define the VM type as Mageia 64, give it a virtual disk with a 7GB root ext4 and a 1GB swap partition, choose Custom install, and uncheck everything except Network Client, Console, Internet Client, Development, and Web/FTP, i. e. no desktops, and start the install requesting Details for the progress display.

The install fails at some point with a "Too many open files" error. Sometimes it is in a package install, which displays an error and aborts the install, and once it caused a loop of something trying to open /mnt/etc/fstab and repeatedly failing.

That's a regression in rpm-4.10.
monthes old URPM/urpmi shows the same issue with rpm-4.10
