Enter a valid line: test123:::users::: 3. See the output: Can't update shadow file. pam_chauthtok: Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info line 1 user test123

(sorry, my comment about setting the status was unclear: it was targeted at the packager who would take care of this) Adding PATCH keyword since I think one of the commits that were made to shadow-utils during Mageia 3 development fixed the problem you still see in Mageia 2.
