Description Jeff Robins 2012-06-06 20:21:08 CEST
My company has started to block rsync. I have to explicitly set the the mirror that urpmi uses, because it always wants to use an rysnc'd mirror by default. I also know of companies that have started blocking external ftp usage as well.

It would be nice to be able to enable/disable the protocols that urpmi will use for downloads. That way we can still use the mirror-list to select the best mirror.

You can either make urpmi not to use rsync by uninstalling rsync or change 'choosen' in /var/cache/urpmi/mirrors.cache
