Description of problem: I noticed that while running mageia control center I did not get the oxygen theme (gadgets and buttons), they just seem flat. So I ran MCC in Konsole as normal user and I got this message. Gtk-Message **: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" at /usr/lib/libDrakX/mygtk2.pm line 20. But, I do not get this error as root. :-S So I installed lib64canberra-gtk0 and now I do not get the "Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"' both as root or as normal user but still do not get the oxygen theme runnig as normal user. So I removed lib64canberra-gtk0. Then I ran MCC as root and everything worked fine. The oxygen theme works just fine in MCC as root, but not as normal user. Probably lib64canberra-gtk0 does not have anything to do with the theme problem but it seems weird to me why I get the canberra-gtk-module failure as normal user but not as root. Regards Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 2 with latest updates untill June 5 2012. How reproducible: Don't know how, I just open MCC from the menu. Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Hi, I don't remember ever seen the icon GTK Styler and Fonts in the Application Appearance section in system settings. But today I installed gtk-qt-kcm and chose oxygen-gtk in the GTK styles. This fixed the flat looking in gadgets in my profile. My question is: Why gtk-qt-kcm was not needed as root and all gadgets in mcc looked fine without gtk-qt-kcm?. Regards Ezekiel
because you have change the theme previously ? so will close a invalid as it seems to work for you, feel free to reopen if not.
