Since last update process (last friday: June 01), I cannot boot on 2 computer that are using a software RAID0 root partition. (with latest mag2 desktop kernel) Here is what is displayed : ---------------- ACPI: aborted because junk in compression archive RAMDISK: EOF while reading compressed data uncompresion error EXT2-fs(md0): error: unable to read superblock Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: unable to mount rootfs on unknown block(9,0) ---------------- I could only boot my personal computer from which I write by using an old kernel from mageia 1. But my work computer will not boot at all, as it's a fresh mageia2 install (no other kernel). It's a major failure for me. Can you point me in the right direction ?

Summary: kernel panic when booting on raid0 => kernel panic when booting on raid1
I'm sorry, it's a software RAID1 array, not RAID0
I've seen some posts about a possible bug in dracut (which was launched with last update, I believe)
Hi, thanks for reporting this bug. Assigned to the package maintainer. Colin, assigning to you in case comment #2 would be right about a dracut issue. Feel free to reassign to bugsquad or someone else if it was wrong.

This message is a reminder that Mageia 2 is nearing its end of life. Approximately one month from now Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 2. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '2'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 2's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Mageia 2 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. -- The Mageia Bugsquad
