Hello,
I installed skychart on Mageia 2 64-bits with KDE and when I run skychart, I see a white window and nothing happens more. I get these messages in the terminal
>$ skychart

I waited some minutes and I had always these white window.

A user of Mageia said on French forum that he has the same problem with Fedora. He installed new version (3.6, the packaged version is 3.4) and he has not this problem anymore. Maybe we should package this version and provide it for Mageia 2.

Skychart 3.4 even doesn't compile at Mageia 2 (3.6 does). As far as I remember an update of Lazarus and/or fpc is the reason (at Fedora).

Remco, feel free to help me maintaining this package and handling its bug reports, too :-)

However I'm working to a possible patch for skychart-3.4 before ask for version update in mga2.

Package skychart-3.4-1.1.mga2 will be available soon in core/updates_testing.

* it should solve this issue
* it drops wikidoc subpackage causing failures at package build-time

Do some tests, please. I'm going to open the update validation request.

Working to restore wikidoc (wiki documentation) subpackage.

Wait for skychart-3.4-1.2.mga2 before other tests.

Package skychart-3.4-1.2.mga2 available in core/updates_testing.

* documentation subpackage (skychart-wikidoc) restored
* includes previous fixes

Do some tests, please. Locally it seems to be working fine.

Hi Matteo,

I have installed the package from testing and it seems to work (no more white screen). The first time I started it though, pressing the empty pull down button (the one below the one reading Genieva) resulted in an instant crash. Not sure what that is related to...

I tested skychart-3.4-1.3.mga2 on Mageia 2 64-bits and white screen has disappear. It works fine for me.
