Description Georges Eckenschwiller 2012-06-02 17:47:10 CEST
Description of problem:
Everything is in the title

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
midori-0.4.4

According to my research on the internet, midori-0.4.4 is compiled with gtk3, while flash player is under-gtk2.

Midori being essentially used with lightweight desktop, such as xfce, it should be able to compile with --disable-gtk3

Please test new midori [1] from core/updates_testing, it's build with gtk2.

I just installed midori-0.4.4-1.1.mga2

I test on http://www.chemgapedia.de/vsengine/info/en/help/requirements/flash.html

midori crash ever.
-------------
I run now Midori in a terminal.
I have 3 posts from the start, but I think unrelated to crash:

Glib-GIO-Message: Using the 'memory' GSettings backend. Your settings will not be saved or shared with other applications.

Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'stock_new-tab' for stock: L'icone stock_new-tab n'est pas presente dans le theme.

Idem for gtk-add icon.

After page load and crash, I get the message:
ERROR Invalid browser function table. Some functionnality may be restricted.
Java version "1.6.0_24"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (Icedtea6 1.11.1)
Instruction non permise.

There seems to be a problem with java
Comment 3 Georges Eckenschwiller 2012-06-03 14:22:09 CEST
I uninstalled icedtea-web
midori crash ever.

With terminal, I have no messages related to icedtea and java.
But I have always "Instruction non permise"

A good news (for you) and a bad (for me).

I am at the moment on another computer (MB = Asrock N68-S, GC=GeForce7600GT)
Midori 1.4.4-1.1 works correctly with flash-player-plugin.

Midorii 0.4.4-1 not crash more, but does notshow the animations flash.

Bad news is that I have an incompatibility between my test-computer Xfce.
(MB=Asus A7N8X-X, GC=ATI Radeon 9000 RV250 IF).
After a few minutes of use I have a crash, whatever is the application (Mandriva Control Center, for example).

I believe that it would be useful to pass midori-0.4.4-1.1 in core/updates.
