it's a duplicate of bug 2944 It was closed as wontfix because kuickshow seems not to be maintained anymore... Nevertheless, it works, it is light, it is strictly an image viewer...

I told to open a bug report but forgot to look at the closed ones, so I only saw the list in bug 2929 > > Nevertheless, it works, it is light, it is strictly an image viewer... And Mandriva even ships it in Mdv 2011, so it doesn't seem to give horrible problems. Maybe you, luca and/or "oui" could consider becoming a Mageia packager and packaging it?

i've tried gpicview, feh, gwenview and gthumb. with all admiration due to those who made those prg : i still think kuickshow top them all. no toolbars, no icons, and gamma tweaking on keyboard make it unique.
Kuickshow needs the obsolete imlib library, which haven't been updated since 2004. Every major distro is removing imlib. I'll miss it too. It is the best viewer I have used to this date.
