Description Jeff Robins 2012-06-01 10:58:25 CEST
Description of problem:
I have a RadeonHD 6450.

When using the fglrx driver (Mageia 2 latest -> 12.4), if the KDE
desktop effects are enabled, then the fgl_glxgears program shows a
static image, but the frame count is high (>500fps). Dragging the
window will cause the image to change. Placing the cursor over the
window controls (maximize, minimize, close) will cause the image
to change once.

If I disable desktop effects, then the image moves as expected and
the frame rates are even higher (>800fps).

However, with the effects disabled I get some corruption on title bars
of the windows. This will corrupt the window controls and the icon in
the upper left.

Also, you can pause and un-pause the flg_glxgears image by turning on
and off desktop effects (ALT+SHIFT+F12).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
fglrx 12.4, KDE 4.8.2

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install fglrx
2. Turn on desktop effects
3. run fgl_glxgears
4. Turn off desktop effect
5. run flg_glxgears
