Looks like bug 2267 is back again, but this time for VLC 2.0.1 on Mageia 2. When I start a MP4 or FLV file, the video starts several seconds before the audio, which are then out-of-sync. It also seems that the speed of the audio is slightly faster than what it should be. And if this wasn't enough, there is also noise appearing from time to time ("grésillements" in french). This last problem never occured with Mageia 1. They look like severe regressions to me.

About the noise I mentioned in comment 0, moving the mouse sometimes helps stopping it... till the next song. Any clue?
I installed vlc-2.0.3-2.mga2.tainted which is currently in Update Testing and it fixes the audio sync problem. No regression found so far.

I take that back. The problem is still present. From the release notes for VLC 2.0.5, it seems that this new version fixes audio sync problems with Pulseaudio, which could be the problem I'm seeing.
