A new version of musescore is available from the creators, version 1.2, since 03/2012.
Can it be updated?
I confirm the bug in actual version.
Crahs are frequent.

I used to maintain it. I'll take it.
I may need to update it to vers. 1.2 wich works well in mga3. Give me some time, I need to install mga2 for testing

The error has been fixed in updates_testing.

I didn't see any crashes anymore. Could you please test it in your set-up?
Comment 5 Boyan Krachev 2013-08-30 08:09:59 CEST
The crash was happening in Mageia 2 with Musescore 1.1. Now in Mageia 3 and Musescore 1.2 there isn't any problem. Although there is version 1.3 since February 2013.
Comment 6 Samuel Verschelde 2013-08-30 09:12:13 CEST
I tested it quickly in MGA2 64: crash reproduced. Fix confirmed with the version in updates_testing.

It's working here too after the update (crashing every time before)

Updated packages in core/updates_testing:
========================
 musescore-1.1-3.1.mga2.src.rpm
 musescore-1.1-3.1.mga2.x86_64.rpm
 musescore-doc-1.1-3.1.mga2.noarch.rpm
 musescore-fonts-1.1-3.1.mga2.noarch.rpm

Comment 9 Samuel Verschelde 2013-08-30 19:34:42 CEST
note that I haven't tested anything else than "the program starts and what used to make it crash doesn't anymore". I haven't tested basic functionality.
Comment 10 claire robinson 2013-08-30 19:43:37 CEST
Testing complete mga2 32

Advisory uploaded.

Validating.

Could sysadmin please push from 2 core/updates_testing to updates

Thanks!
