Description of problem:
After installing directly from the Gnome liveCD for both x86_64 and i586 iso images using vbox and booting into the newly installed system, clicking on activities tab brings up the activities desktop with a corrupt background for both the Windows and Applications tabs.

The corruption changes every once in a while, but otherwise tends to stay unchanged between closing and restarting vbox, rebooting either virtual machine and between the different machines themselves.

Each machine is given 128MB video memory, 3D on and 1024MB ram.

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new vbox vm, run and choose install from either arch Gnome EU1 LiveCD iso images.
2. Enter personal information when needed and reboot into newly installed system.
3. Login and click on 'Activities'
