Description of problem: While reading the Mageia forum concerning one type of CAD package https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2307 I then did an enquiry on google for "Linux CAD" which gave me a page http://www.techdrivein.com/2011/08/8-best-cad-apps-for-linux.html "8 Best CAD Apps for Linux", and I noticed at the bottom in the comment section, several replies mentioning DraftSight, which you can find here. None of this actually solves the problem mentioned in the forum, but looking at the program draftsight, it looks like something that you may want to include in Mageia 2 under the 2D CAD program choices. The Mandriva RPM installed without issues and it seems to be a fairly nice package to include.

As far as I can tell this is nonfree. That doesn't mean we should not package it though, but it would have to go to the nonfree repository. And then we should check whether its license allows redistribution.

10 years later... Seems Rosa 2021 stopped at ver2019, and Chocolatey at ver2022 SP1 (trialware).
