Did you test with the tarball version of ESR 10.0.4? Does this one work or is it upstream problem?

If only I knew exactly what to write I would've tried that way, but I don't know.
Comment 7 Kristoffer Grundström 2012-05-18 23:10:12 CEST
Btw. What do you mean with ESR?
Comment 8 claire robinson 2012-05-18 23:13:40 CEST
I didn't follow the manual config but will confirm tomorrow

Comment 10 John Bowden 2012-05-19 18:48:12 CEST
i can reproduce this but all you need to do is manually set up your account details and correct type of log in protocols and you can get your mail! Not rely a bug unless the manual set up is not available, which it is.

Rechecked this with a second account. both times i had to type in the pop and smtp bits of the server address and set ports and security manually.
Comment 12 Florian Hubold 2012-05-20 20:51:27 CEST
Please, some more information. What type of account did you try to add, POP3 or IMAP?

Does it work correctly for a freshly created user (or with a new ~/.mozilla/ profile folder), or with upstream tarballs or newer thunderbird version?
Comment 13 Kristoffer Grundström 2012-05-22 12:48:44 CEST
I tried in Windows 7 64-bit with Thunderbird 12.0.1 & still same problem.
Comment 14 Sander Lepik 2012-05-22 12:59:40 CEST
Well, it's an upstream problem then.
Comment 15 Marja Van Waes 2012-05-26 13:05:31 CEST
Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

Fundawang : As the most active commiter, can you shine a light on this matter if this is a really bug or not ?
