Description Dave Hodgins 2012-05-17 04:27:05 CEST
After a clean install using the dual iso, booting drops to a shell after
a ntfs-3g filesystem fails to mount, due to unknown filesystem type, ntfs-3g.

The fuse module is loadable, so I don't know what the problem is.

I can confirm that

Priority: Normal => release_blocker
CC: (none) => mageia, pterjan, thierry.vignaud, tmb

Comment 2 Dave Hodgins 2012-05-17 20:29:33 CEST
Installing the packages ntfs-3g, fuse, and libfuse2 fixes the problem,
to they need to be added to the dual-cd.
Comment 3 Anne Nicolas 2012-05-17 22:02:41 CEST
Added in next iso
Comment 4 Manuel Hiebel 2012-05-18 14:10:23 CEST
nop, see the comment of tv in the dev ml

mtfs versus ntfs

(I have also see the same issue using brtfs but its less critical)
Comment 5 Anne Nicolas 2012-05-18 15:52:44 CEST
typo just fixed
Comment 6 Dave Hodgins 2012-05-19 03:56:03 CEST
Did the dual-cd iso get updated? The Mageia-2-dual-CD.iso has a size/date of
735051776 May 17 17:00 and md5 of bc4751c003ed215b51f721fe2f449ff1.

It's missing the following packages, needed for a clean install ...
aoss - needed for sound card configuration
ntfs-3g - needed for ntfs-3g mounts
libfuse2 - needed for ntfs-3g mounts
glibc-devel - needed to meet requires of gcc
Comment 7 Anne Nicolas 2012-05-19 09:50:21 CEST
Added for *next* iso. About glibc-devel, it's just not possible or we will have to remove many packages
Comment 8 Anne Nicolas 2012-05-20 01:15:46 CEST
Fixed - gcc was removed from iso
