Prerelease 2 Final DVD 64 default LXDE installation There is no panel volume control. There is no obvious way to control the audio volume at all.
does it work if you add ? Plugin { type = volumealsa } in your file: .config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels/panel

Seems it's not working, it is in the default profile but not in the LXDE one, and it looks like the user get the lxde one. But for that I don't know. Sorry :s

It appears at the far right, comes after the clock and the shutdown icon. It looks out of place there. It would be better placed to the left of the clock.
That's a matter of taste actually. If the majority of people does like it in another place, I can of course change it, but I don't see that as release critical, is it?
No not at all, an update after release might be nice though. ISO's are building.

Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja

Summary: Pre 2 Final - No volume control in panel LXDE DVD 64 (2nd set) => No volume control in panel LXDE DVD 64 (2nd set)
On i586: Verified position of volume control on far right. After installing update: Created new user, logged into that account then back into my own. Both times volume control now showing to the left of the clock and the shutdown icon. Looks fine to me. Am going to try another possible workaround for the problem with displaying Linux on my new laptop. If it works, I'll be able to test on 64 as well. Watch this space...

No, still not able to test on x86_64.
Will test on a x86_64 VM.
Same as above on x86_64 VM - volume icon now to the left of the clock and the shutdown icon.
