just plug an usb key and run "bug" from the console (but after you get the error at the partitionning step)
type alt+ctrl+2 in order to get the console where is the shell There're several consoles: - 1st console: installer info (or text installer) - 2nd one: shell - 3rd: full installer logs - 4th: kernel logs - 7th: the graphical installer

Created attachment 2304 [details] add support for Xen disks I think supporting Xen discs is as simple as this patch. The stage1 support would need actual testing of course (but as it's needed only for disk installs, it's not high priority).

Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja
Yes, the bug is still valid for Mageia 2

I don't know much about Xen stuff and TV seems to have a patch so I'll drop out of this bug report. I can't see it being fixed for mga2 tho' seeing as it's an installer thing.

I think I'm hitting this same bug, and it's completely preventing me from installing Mageia 2 on xen (either with paravirt or emulated disk controllers on fully-virtualized machines). I have a Mageia 2 Dom0 running fine, however. It looks like you are currently lacking a tester, but I don't know where to start for updating the stage2. Can that be patched in-place, etc?

See https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Drakx-installer_tips_and_tricks#Debugging_the_stage2 Note that I've noticed that mga & redhat kernel do not use the same major for xen devices... might be an issue depending on the host server...
@Richard, @Andres: does it work with current cauldron? i suppose you're testing it on hvm(not para)?
