Description Tyler 2012-05-12 05:27:35 CEST
Thought I'd recommend this wonderful piece of software, as it's a necessity for some gamers on linux who cannot get the official ventrillo software to work. Its an alternative replacement which is compatible with the ventrillo servers, and supports most important features for communication.

Ventrillo, to note, is a voice communication software similar to teamspeak and the like. Unfortunately, despite releasing information they were working on a Linux client some time ago it never came to fruition. The official windows software is also not very compatible with wine, which makes an alternative like Mangler a huge plus. I noticed it wasn't in the repository as I was setting myself up for a game, and I decided I may as well add it in as a package request.

Note that I can at least confirm its possible using the existing repo. Out of madness I just converted and installed the program from Ubuntu, and I only needed to use alien to convert four packages total for the program to work perfectly (i'm fairly sure I didn't even need to convert two.)

Marking it as old since I've since moved on. My apologies about abandoning this, as well as my TC4400 bug. I'll be checking them again another time.
