Created attachment 2249 [details] screenshot Hin, Sorry for my bad english but when i use Mageia 2 RC on Gnome 32bits, i have this message : "The password is no longer valid Please try again" And the menu bar is break (black - > grey) thank you
Can you reproduce it ? I have not idea what it can be, maybe an old from mandriva, anyway not critical
Severity: critical => major
I can't reproduce it, because, i turn on virtualbox Mageai i am leaving computer, when i come back (session no closed), the message is show. I see that 2 times.... I don't know where it is come
This might be an old bug of which we thought it was solved https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3164 If I understood correctly, Claire had this bug today in LXDE and in Gnome

Summary: Error password in desktop gnome 3 => Error about password in desktop gnome 3 and LXDE
Thats a different error message marja
(In reply to comment #4) > Thats a different error message marja @ Claire You haven't convinced me yet. He got the message in French On his screenshot you can see it says: "Le mot the passe n'est pas valide. Veuillez essayez à nouveau" Which translates to: "The password isn't valid. Please try again" But if you translate a translated installer help text back into English, you don't get exactly the same as we have in English either. Can you look at the screenshot, please, does it ring a bell?
The error message box looks the same, apart from all the writing Hard to say really as I suppose all the message boxes look the same :D 'Is not valid' sounds like it would be the same error as 'is invalid' though. 'Is no longer valid' would be different but I don't think it translates as that really does it.

If it had said "Le mot de passe n'est plus valide", then it would have been "no longer", but as you can see it says "Le mot de passe n'est pas valide", "is not valid" It sounds very funny to use the word "invalide" for a password in French, I'm not sure it can be used that way. Anyway, we agree it is probably the same error ;)
yes indeed. I was just going by Arnaud's translation in comment 0
This occurs in xguest when mgaapplet runs it's first update check. I have seen it also after logging out of xguest and in again as a normal user also. This is with kde desktop so may not be related to desktop at all.
Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja
