I installed beta 1, and now the speed is much better, You can still see the drawing of rectangles but at a fast speed.
BTW, are you using pure 2D desktop or are you using the 3d effects?
3D effects are disabled.
When I tried to activate the 3d effects to progress on bug 87, I saw that the glx module was not installed. I re-install x11-server-common to get it back. And now I am back with a very slow drawing on the screen as it was before beta 1. And I cannot activate the 3d effects.
Is this bug still valid in Cauldron?

Yes, I just retried with the latest state of Cauldron, and I got the same bad performance.
Assigning to maintainer now that our maintainer's database has an entry for this package. Please assign back to bugsquad@mageia.org in case of a mistake from me.

Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja
