Description of problem: Default install onto single core 64bit amd. 2X hd's windows xp partition and /boot, /, /swp, /home on second drive. 1st drive has ext 4 but not mounted. After first boot system drops to shell with this error msg: Failed to start /media/windows Dependency failed. Aborting start of links in /boot for running kernel Dependency failed. Aborting start of mark the need to reliable after boot Dependency failed. Aborting start of Reliable all file systems if necessary Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): e0fce486b5220a1e0632f6eab8b77270 Mageia-2-rc-dual-CD.iso How reproducible: Reproduced twice, second time with out /boot just /, /swp and /home Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot cd 2.Choose "custom partitioning 3.Default software (desktop) 4.Reboot 5.system drops to hit ctrl D with error message
Retried installation with out the /boot partition but same error message
Did the mount fail with status=32? If so, then this is the same as bug 5745, however for me, I was able to mount the filesystem in the shell, and it worked on a reboot, so I couldn't recreate the error.

Yes, please try commenting out all non-required filesystems in fstab and reboot.
I just ran into this after an upgrade with the latest dual rc cd, and consider this a release blocker. This time, in the emergency shell, when I tried to mount the windows filesystem, it failed with unknown filesystem vfat. I then tried running modprobe vfat, and it failed with libkmod: index_mmopen major version check faile 65537 instead of 2953311319
Severity: normal => critical
Also, in the emergency shell, no file systems were mounted, and systemctl default just returns to the emergency shell.

Arrgh. Misread the report. Looks like a urpmi cascade error, which can be found by searching for unselecting in the report.bug.gz.
Unsatisfied requires ... libmozjs185.so.1.0 libdirect-1.5.so.0 libdirectfb-1.5.so.0 libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0 I think the rest are due to a cascade error. These come from the packages libmozjs185_1.0 libdirectfb1.5_0 libgtk+-x11-2.0_0
