How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a minimal Installation. 
2. Then urpmi --no-suggest task-x11 x11-driver-video gdm
3. Then urpmi --no-suggest bootsplash

I have this message :
grep /usr/share/plymouth/themes/.plymouth/.plymouth.plymouth:
Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type

The default plymouth plugin () doesn't exist
