Description of problem: In MCC / Software Management / Update your system we see a list of available updates. By default all packages are selected, except the packages that are in /etc/urpmi/skip.list. There is a buttom "Select all", but I miss a button to deselect/unselect all. Also, the package in skip.list prevents a "deselect all" of the other packages. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Alpha 2 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a package to /etc/urpmi/skip.list (choose a package with a new update) 2. Go to MCC -> Software Management -> Update your system 3. We see the list of software package updates 4. Button "Deselect all" is missing 5. Alternatively, click button "Select all" to deselect all packages 6. We see a message "Sorry, the following package cannot be selected:" and all other packages are still selected. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

Yes, this issue is still present.
(In reply to comment #2) > Yes, this issue is still present. ... in Mageia 1.
Version: Cauldron => 1
I can add to this report that it is also impossible to "deselect all" when one of the listed software package updates cannot be installed for other reasons (e.g. dependency problems),

I checked this again in mageia 2, but this bug is not yet resolved.

I can't reproduce again, if clic select all, it's unselect them
Version: Cauldron => 2
(In reply to comment #7) > I can't reproduce again, if clic select all, it's unselect them Did you exactly follow the steps from my first report to reproduce? Which package with a new update did you add to your skip.list? Can you post the content of your skip.list that you used when you tried to reproduce? I checked this again on my Mageia 2 laptop that needs some packages to be updated. One of these is ldetect, I added ldetect to my skip.list, and I could reproduce this issue again. The message that a package cannot be selected because it's in the skip.list is correct, but it also prevents to unselect all other packages.
Severity: enhancement => normal
This message is a reminder that Mageia 2 is nearing its end of life. Approximately one month from now Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 2. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '2'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 2's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Mageia 2 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. -- The Mageia Bugsquad
Mageia 2 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on ''22 November''. Mageia 2 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia and reopen this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. -- The Mageia Bugsquad
