Description of problem: When I am booting from Live CD, at some moment the strange messagebox appears: âDisplay driver setup. The system has to be rebooted due to a display driver change. Press cancel within 30 seconds to abortâ. If I press "OK" or just miss the moment, then the system reboots, and whole story repeats again. If I press "Cancel", everything boots successfully and works perfect (almost). The obsoleteness of this message for Live CD is obvious. The video is ATI Radeon HD 2600. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 2 beta 3 KDE Europa-2 32-bit
Since it also happens with Mageia-2-beta3-LiveCD-KDE4-Europe1-Americas-x86_64-CD.iso, I'll assume it happens on all of them. On motherboard RS880 [Radeon HD 4200] video chips. DMI: Hewlett-Packard p6610f/2AB1 , BIOS 6.02 07/21/2010

Ok i can reproduce also here ( AMD Radeon HD 6310 with a Aspire 5250) Booting with the nokmsboot allows me to boot the live cd as suggested on irc by tmb For the record you just need to use the esc to swith to text boot & tape live nokmsboot after the boot: line

Menak, Bit, Jin-tong or John can you reproduce this bug with the RC ?
dd'ed Mageia-2-rc-LiveCD-KDE4-Europe1-Americas-x86_64-CD.iso to a usb drive and booted without problems. Lack of any progress indicator made me think it locked up in two different places. Guess I have become spoiled with the 45 second boot from hard drive with quite removed from kernel boot line.
No, the RC works fine for me. I no longer see that message box.
ok closing this one then, thanks.
