I use Xfce with Compiz. If I click on a menu, and then select an item, sometime only the icons are visible in the submenu : http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/812/04terbugfocusmenu.jpg/ The text in the submenu appears only after the corresponding item get the focus : http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/3/04bisbugfocusmenu.jpg/ This bug appears only with Compiz. Mageia 2 beta 3 DVD 32 bits on a Fujitsu-Siemens laptop (Pentium M, 1 Go DDR II, Intel GPU with 128 Mo) During install, I choose âotherâ instead of KDE or Gnome, then install Xfce and Compiz with the MCC.

I got similar a problem with kde and compiz : menu appear only the second time i select them, or if I click on a subfolder, only the first item appears others appear when I hover them. confirmed with latest bzr and different theme so I guess an upstream bug. I will report upstream tomorrow if noone beat me to it.

Still valid on mga2 and cauldron with 0.9.8.0. Vincent > can you try to activate the plugin Workaround (Solution in french), the problem seems to disappear with it.
It works ! (Xfce 4.8, Mageia 2, fresh install) Note : the name is not translated (it's "workarouds" - with a "s")

The bug seems to be completely solved with the Mageia 3 beta 1 ; the use of the plugin isn't necessary anymore.
