Firstly I will state that the i586 installs have gone without problems on 5 individual test boxes. Mainly Acer brand but different models and configurations, I have also tested a ATI Video card I have, but not nividea as I don't have any at present. However the sixth a x86_64 hasn't! Description of problem: Many error messages during config and install, I had hoped that a set of logs would be kept and it looked onscreen that it was happening, however a mentioned /var/log/Xorg.0.log was found empty upon rebooting into another linux and searching on the installed partition. thought it was in hand by Thomas or Manuel, my note at the end of the origonal description is still awaiting an answer so I suspect it should now be in mageia 2 against x86_64. thanks scsijon
Please test again with final dual iso
closing, seems to be working right, although warnings still appear, however it's apparently not just mageia they are now appearing against.
