If PC-card ethernet interfaces in general is supposed to work on the installer i think here is a bug as it do not seem to even get powered when running either boot.iso nor boot-nonfree.iso, because not even the link LED turns on. On an installed system the LED lights up immediately when i put the ethernet cable in the PC-card. If not supposed to work with installer, let us set this as enhancement request. This specific PC-card i have is Netgear FA511, ADMtek 21x4x DEC-Tulip compatible. Related: boot.iso wifi support, https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5475
can you *attach* the output of lspcidrake -v ? or lspci -v ? If it's works after the install it should work during ihmo

Before making the attachements: Plugged it in and it shifted from wifi to use it automatically now :) I believe i used this PC-card on this computer three years ago installing Mandriva (this thinkpad have a toast internal ethernet NIC)

Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja

We would need the /root/drakx/report.bug.gz from a recent install.
Source RPM: drakx-installer-images => drakx-installer-binaries
Also is it in stage1 (text) or in stage2 (graphical installer)
Sorry for the delay. It works perfectly for me: I now performed a network install of current cauldron, mageia 3 i586 using this same PC-card on same laptop. When i fetched the boot.iso it said beta 3. Tell me if you want testing on mga2 boot.iso, else close as fixed.
Mga2 installer is frozen.
