OpenFOAM is a finite element code dedicated to CFD. This code is opensource and is used a lot by a lot of institutes. http://www.openfoam.com/ YC
I found a spec file for mandriva: http://svn.mandriva.com/svn/packages/cooker/openfoam/current/SPECS/ YC
Summary: Add the OpenFOAM application to mageia => OpenFOAM, open source CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)Source RPM: (none) => openfoamWhiteboard: (none) => Mdv
Adding Philippe and myself in CC. OpenFOAM has been imported to cauldron, but it doesn't work for now, the package is still a WIP.
CC: (none) => makowski.mageia, remi
I've done some work on it and OpenFOAM is now working in Cauldron. A known issue is the "paraFoam" script which is not working, because I did not let OpenFOAM build its own version of paraview (since we have it already in the repos), but I haven't gotten to patch the script to use the system wide paraview yet.

BTW if you're still using Mageia Yann, I'd be glad if you could test our openFoam package (for example in Mageia 5 beta1 when it comes out in ~2 weeks).
