When starting Mageia 2 Beta 3 CD, plymouth displays a password prompt (without text, but it does the same on installed system :( ), wanting the passphrase of my encrypted / partition. The lead me to believe it was actually booting on hard drive and not on live CD. I'd want to be able to test the Live CD without mounting the encrypted partitions of the machine.
I'm surprised I didn't see the same thing when I was just testing the Gnome live cd. I have seen it in the past though, and iirc, you can bypass mounting the encrypted file system by just pressing enter enough times, though I don't remember how many.

does it help if you pass rd.luks=0 on kernel command line ?
Yes it worked
ok, great. will set it as default for rc I think i will also disable scanning for mdadm and dmraid setups during livecd boot too, that will make boot faster
Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja
