Using the free radeon (not radeonhd) driver in current cauldron, as you must with X 1.10 at the moment, using CTRL-ALT-Fn to switch from a graphical desktop to a VC results in multiple shrunken VC images arranged horizontally across the top of the screen (3 on my laptop, 5 on my desktop). The font is so small as to be barely readable, and rather than black and white, the prompts are in green and the typed text is highlighted white. Oddly enough, this doesn't happen from the initial gdm login screen. If you haven't yet logged into a desktop, switching to a VC works normally. However, if you login to GNOME and then logout, switching to a VC from the gdm panel exhibits the problem. The problem also occurs if you logout from the desktop and then use the GUI shutdown/restart from the gdm panel. The mageia background appears in multiple shrunken screens across the top, but the background of these screens is magenta rather than blue-gray. You can actually use the shrunken VCs, provided you don't need to read the output of commands. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
