Description of problem: Unable to update Cauldron in order to test latest build as RPMdrake abruptly closes upon attempting to uninstall the old version and install the new version. The update never applies and the rpm db breaks. Also please stop telling me to update my cauldron first, because I CAN'T! It keeps crashing. I know no other way - I don't know how many ways I have to word this to get the correct response. Should I just wait for Beta 3? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Cauldron Beta 2 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Attempt to update rpmdrake from Version 5.30-1 to Version 5.33-1 2. Software Management (RPMdrake) will suddenly close 3. Reopen "Install & Remove Software" aka "Software Management" aka RPMdrake 4. A fatal error occurred: Couldn't open RPM DB () at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.14.2/Rpmdrake/open_db.pm line 74 5. Updates aren't applied when checked after repairing DB. Bug recurs if attempted again

This bug is exclusive to the KDE desktop environment. Bug NOT exhibited under Gnome 3
Only known workaround is to update the system under Gnome but this is no good for users who want only KDE (such as my girlfriend - I'm a fan of Gnome myself but have been testing KDE for her)
Target Milestone: --- => Mageia 2
Summary: RPMdrake abruptly closes upon updating itself graphically => RPMdrake abruptly closes upon updating itself graphically within KDE
