Description Andrew 2012-04-11 03:00:22 CEST
For those familiar with Microsoft Windows, Windows has always had Event Sounds System or a "Sound Scheme" which was fully customizable allowing users to change everything from the sound they hear upon logging in or out, or whenever a program prompts the user or crashes as well as for whenever they make a pop-up menu appear (usually by right clicking) or select something from that menu just to name a few examples.

We already can customize colors, windows and backgrounds, why not sounds? Adding this fun little feature will help make Mageia stand out amongst other distros in terms of being more personal and fun.

Enclosed is a screenshot of how this feature behaves in Windows for those unfamiliar with it.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

yeah i've done those sounds and btw found the program, the needed thing is to implement it into the mageia central center, so it was near the sound system.
here's the link for testing thread

here's the program for gnome and freedesktop
