Description Andrew 2012-04-10 08:08:33 CEST
Description of problem:

Wireless card Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) fails to connect to any network if "Allow interface to be controlled by Network Manager" is checked. This might apply to other wireless cards as well.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Mageia 2 Cauldron Beta 2

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Network Center
2. Select an access point under Wireless
3. Click Configure
4. Check "Allow interface to be controlled by Network Manager" (if not already checked)
5. Reboot (changes don't seem to fully apply if I don't - in order to remedy or reproduce bug)
6. Adapter will fail to connect to any access point.

Repeat the following steps but uncheck box to resolve.

Hi Andrew,

I think this is a duplicate of another bugreport. Can you see that report and see if upgrading to the latest kernel helps?
