Description Kristoffer Grundström 2012-04-10 03:03:38 CEST
Description of problem: I'm trying to compile wine from git-code & get this configure-error:

checking for X... no
configure: error: X 32-bit development files not found. Wine will be built
without X support, which probably isn't what you want. You will need
to install 32-bit development packages of Xlib/Xfree86 at the very least.
Use the --without-x option if you really want this.

Now I'm looking to install x11-headers & I want to install lib64xorg-x11-devel and other related packages, but it conflicts with above mentioned packages.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 7.5

How reproducible: Everytime I try to run ./configure.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a Terminal.
2. Type git clone git://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git and hit Enter.
3. When done, type cd wine/
4. Type ./configure
5. Voila!

What about it?

Did you test it?
Comment 4 Kristoffer Grundström 2012-10-11 17:22:37 CEST
If you're referring to the pre-packaged wine-version, yes I've tried it, I'm trying to see if an issue related to installing & using the Spotify-client is fixed upstream or not.
Comment 5 Kristoffer Grundström 2012-10-11 17:40:20 CEST
Still get the same & the xfree86-package is gone.

Found out that lib-xorg-x11-devel was missing, but now I ran into an issue with freetype i586-devel packages. I know that I've installed both freetyp2 & freetype6-devel packages.

Error is:

configure: error: FreeType 32-bit development files not found. Fonts will not be built.
Use the --without-freetype option if you really want this.

This message is a reminder that Mageia 1 is nearing its end of life.
In approximately 25 days from now, Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing
updates for Mageia 1. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it
remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '1'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to
fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later
Mageia version prior to Mageia 1's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not
be able to fix it before Mageia 1 is end of life. If you would still like to see
this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia,
you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version
of Mageia.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime,
sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia
release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.

Mageia 1 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on ''1st December''. Mageia 1 is no
longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or
bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia
please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia and reopen this bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
