Description Andrew Myers 2012-04-09 15:06:10 CEST
Description of problem:

While using Gnome Shell on Cauldron, a dialog saying "The password you typed is invalid" pops up multiple times (7 I think). After dismissing them all, the mgaapplet appears in the system tray

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Unknown

How reproducible:

Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Installed Mageia 1 from Gnome Europe live CD
2. Upgrade to cauldron
3. Login and use the system for a while. The dialog will appear usually within 5-10 minutes

I've seen this too, under KDE, and for quite a while now. Except, since the popup message contains nothing identifying the application, I had no idea that it was mgaapplet.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

As of 2012-08-31, I haven't seen this bug in a while. Has it been fixed (maybe unintentionally) as a result of an update?

That one isn't only about mdv2010.2-mga1 upgrade any more, but also about fresh installs. Last time reported there today.

So again closing this one as duplicate.
