Description of problem: extracted from bug 5245 by request There needs to be an overiding exit button that is visable and available for the installer during any stage of the install added! Having the only option of just turning the power off, just doesn't seem the right thing to do in the linux world!

I know this will be a problem to control, but maybe something like a primary splash screen with text like "Closing this window immediately aborts the Installation" and having a Kill function attached with a primary (1-10) PID should do it. No I don't know enough about your systems yet to do it! After all I've only beeen playing with it a couple of months.
Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja

please keep in cauldron so to be dealt with in the design specifications for mageia 3 as it has not been dealt with as far as I can see in mageia 2. It is a very anoying problem, especially for those of us with limited and expensive bandwidth and download capacity!
