Description Jiang Yike 2012-04-06 15:37:41 CEST
Description of problem:

When trying to compress a large number of files (There are thousands of files, and the total size is hundreds of MB) to a zip file by the right-click menu of Dolphin, CPU load raises to 100% and RAM load raises to nearly 1.5 GB. The hard disk works crazily and the system becomes very slowly and almost can't respond.

The CPU of my computer is AMD Phenom II x4 955.

Yes. There is still the problem.
Comment 3 Jiang Yike 2012-04-15 05:17:57 CEST
There was the problem when the 64bit system was upgraded from Mageia 1 to Mageia 2 Cauldron.

After a fresh installation of Mageia 2 beta 2 (64bit), the problem is solved.
