There is a new version of freerdp (1.0.1)
The 0.8 was just a clone of rdesktop. Freerdp has new functionality.
It is may be a bit late, but if you could update the rpm.

NB: The source compiles correctly, and the binary package works

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Still valid for mageia2 (I suppose, as backport) and for cauldron.

Nota Bene: the rdesktop shipped with mageia is unstable. So it should be rally useful to have a good alternative.

Hello,

I also need the new version of freerdp.


rdesktop used to work just fine with mageia1 but with mageia2 the copy/paste function stop working correctly when I want to copy paste text from IBM System iSeries Access 5250 terminal emulator (from AS400 screen to windows apps) even with the same version of rdesktop on both mageia1 and mageia2.

Like I said, it works fine in mageia1..

FreeRDP 0.8 works just fine with copy/paste, but I get error 'PCSKBD110 - The system keyboard (type = 0, subtype = 0) is not supported.'

I found some info on the link below that suppose to "fix" the problem but I don't know how to compile.

I really hope someone can update this package for mageia2 or find out why rdesktop does work fine in mageia1 but not mageia2.

Mageia 2 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on ''22 November''. Mageia 2 is no
longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or
bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this request.
