Description Kevin Bulgrien 2012-03-24 04:29:05 CET
Description of problem:

bzr should be updated. If not in 1, then in Cauldron. Ideally, it would be updated in 2.

bzr 2.3.1 in 1 has a bug that locks up `bzr status` if files in a checkout somehow become read-only. There are many, many other bugs fixed in the latest bzr stable release.

The release announcement url is noted in this tracker.

2.3.1 was released 2011-03-10.

bzrtools-2.5-1.src.rpm should also go along with this update.

(not that we are in version freeze, so I'am not sure it's allowed)

Component: New RPM package request => RPM Packages

ennael told me that I cannot push an update during the version freeze, sorry. It will be pushed after the release...

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

> I can put 2.5.1 in mageia 2.

Please do it. This is not an enhancement but a bug. Due to the version mismatch between bzr and bzrtools, plugins in bzrtools cannot be used:

bzrtools-2.5-1.mga2
bzr-2.4.2-1.mga2

The error message is:

"Bazaar version 2.4.2 is too old to be used with plugin "Bzrtools" 2.5.0."

This means you managed to push incompatible packages of Bazaar into the repo. :)

Sorry, I was waiting for my new computer which arrived today. I'll do it tonight or tomorrow without fail.
Comment 9 Frédéric "LpSolit" Buclin 2012-08-31 12:42:29 CEST
Sandro, did you push the new bzr yet?
Comment 10 Sandro CAZZANIGA 2012-09-21 08:08:50 CEST
Indeed. Should be built in a few minutes.
Comment 11 Sandro CAZZANIGA 2012-09-25 07:29:21 CEST
Seems the build has failed. I'm looking why right now.
Comment 12 Sandro CAZZANIGA 2012-09-25 07:30:04 CEST
EDIT: It's in update-testing. Need to test it and write a advice for QA team.

At least |bzr graph-ancestry| doesn't work due to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bzrtools/+bug/211104. I didn't test other plugins yet.

I'm using bzr 2.5 for several days now, and it's working fine. No regression found (I tested bzr update, bzr commit, bzr diff, bzr status, bzr annotate, bzr tags, bzr info).

bzr-2.5.1-1.mga2 from updates is fine on Mageia Linux 2 x86-64. The stuff in the tutorial work fine and I was able to bzr branch a repository from my other computer and to pull from lp:inkscape. Everything was slow, but bzr is slow here from some reason, so it's not unusual.
