Description claire robinson 2012-03-15 16:05:00 CET
beta 2 pre-release testing dvd 64bit default kde in vbox

As per the summary. When setting up the network in the last stage it tests internet connectivity. This is with a wired eth0.

After a long pause, it fails the test. Network is working though and no problems after reboot.

I don't think it's installer. It happens already on Mageia 1. I would say that almost every time if not every time if you configure new network connection. It fails to test it. Maybe drakconnect or draknetcenter.

I can't confirm that right now Sander but I noticed this in the installer.

Comment 3 Jacques Pronchery 2012-03-17 19:12:52 CET
Drakconnect do not works, it crashes in the first next page.

[jacques@localhost ~]$ drakconnect
Gtk-Message **: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" at /usr/lib/libDrakX/mygtk2.pm line 20.
The program 'drakconnect' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 19989 error_code 3 request_code 153 minor_code 3)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
