Can you add in attachment the 2 files plasma-desktoprc.Mga1ToMga2 and plasma-desktop-appletsrc.Mga1ToMga2 (backup of your plasma config before the update, in $HOME/.kde4/share config). I will try to see why the update script gave this wrong result for you, and how I can enhance it for others. Thank you for your bug report, and sorry for the bad update. PS: If you want to try the new Mageia default panel, you can remove your current panel, and add the new default panel by "Add a panel/Mageia Default Panel" in the activity button (cashew replacement, top right of the screen). regards, Luc
Hi Luc, don't feel soory ;-) I know I am using a development version of mageia, and a second panel is peanuts compared to other things :-P I didn't upgrade from MGA1 (at least not recently), I am on cauldron for a few months already. the second panel appeared after the "regular" upgrades. I doubt those two files are of much help in my case, but I'll attach them just in case. Diego
oh forgot to mention, after removal of the second panel the original panel is again as it was before.
