With a fresh install of Alpha 1, I'm unable to logout from the KDE desktop. The 30 seconds countdown timer appears on the first attempt, clicking it makes it go away, but nothing happens. After attempting to log out once more, nothing happens. mikala has confirmed this behaviour and thinks it is identical to bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=228005 After disabling the default logout sound in the desktop settings (and after rebooting the computer) I'm able to logout.
I have the same bug when I try to reboot or shutdown. Bye.

This is due to a missing sound file. Here is a workaround. 1: open systemsettings and chose notifications categories 2: select in the list of notifications the one related to KDE desktop globals 3: uncheck "play a sound" in the login and logout conditions, or put another sound. 4: KDE is now able to logout !

It should be fixed with the last mageia-kde4-config-1-0.10.mga1.src.rpm.

Created attachment 5 [details] xsession-errors file I update mageia-kde4-config-common-1-0.10.mga1.noarch and I still can not reboot or logout. My screen get black and I have to login by ssh to reboot/halt it. I try to disable opening and exit sounds with same effect. I attach my .xsession-errors.

Siupermen> could you also attach your ~/.kde4/share/config/kde.notifyrc too ? As i wrote in bug #94 : the solution/workaround is to: - to edit the kde.notifyrc (or simply drop it ) to remove the use of iaora sound cf [Event/startkde] Action=Sound Execute= KTTS= Logfile= Sound=file:///usr/share/sounds/ia_ora-startup.wav The real fix should come from upstream (kde should not failed to log out/etc due to a missing/non working sound event).
John Balcaen> First of all, sorry because I only speak a little English and i don't understand it verry well. I followed the steps that you indicate, and indeed it works now. Thanks and sorry for the disturbance.
