A discussion on the ML pointed out that a tool developed in the Mandriva days which checked scripts for bashisms should be run automatically on scripts in /etc/profile.d to ensure that scripts with #!/bin/sh don't have dependencies on bash.

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Please check whether this is still valid for current release media and adjust whiteboard accordingly.
