Description Herbert Poetzl 2012-02-29 12:06:08 CET
Description of problem:
When installing on a system where the floppy controller is enabled in the BIOS, but with no actual floppy drive connected, the installer will 'hang' after the license check and the log (ALT-F4) will repeat the following forever:

<3>Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0
<3>end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0
<3>Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0
<3>end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Mageia2 Beta1

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. make sure the floppy controller is enabled in the BIOS
2. make sure no floppy drive is attached
3. begin install from DVD
