Description diego w 2012-02-24 01:03:45 CET
Description of problem:

In the RazorQt Panel, there is the symbol for the Main Menu (some white painter's roll on blue background), if I'm activating the show text tick mark in the "Razor Main Menu settings" with Button text set to "Start" half of the symbol and the letters "St" are displayed.

I couldn't find any config option to adjust the size for plugins other than the panel height, which only helps once you increase it to about 72 pixel, which is huge.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
razorqt-0.4.1-1.mga2.src.rpm

Bug reported to the upstream https://github.com/Razor-qt/razor-qt/issues/224
Waiting for upstream reply.

Upstream fixed this bug into the development branch.
I ported their patches to the stable version shipped by our package but now razor-panel needs to be restarted (HUP signal or session logout and login) to properly display the application menu button.

I'll investigate further what's wrong.

Thanks Matteo!

I like razor Qt, but it still needs quite a bit of polishing...

What is the preferred way of reporting bugs? here, or upstream, or both?
Comment 4 Matteo Pasotti 2012-03-09 00:40:18 CET
Yeah, definitely :-)
I think that in general it would be better to report bugs both upstream and here, but obviously it depends on the nature of the bug.

However, as I previously said, I'll work on this patch to make it work correctly on our version (I'll try to receive some help from upstream, too).

perfect!

i will be back for razor testing soon but currently im again with kde
Comment 6 Matteo Pasotti 2012-03-25 13:02:09 CEST
The upstream provided a clean archive for our current version (stable release) containing the required patches.
I suggests to remove ~/.razor directory to start with a clean configuration after the package update, but it's not mandatory.
I'm going to close this bug report as resolved fixed.
Thank you
