Description of problem: Ejecting a cd/dvd disk with dolphin causes it to reinsert itself right after ejection (works ok when no dolphin instances are running) Ejecting manually by pushing button on drive is fine. My system is pure IDE/PATA Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia2 Beta1 i586(tested) initscripts-9.34-5.mga2.src.rpm How reproducible: Every time when Dolphin is open(run) and try to eject disc in dolphin. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert the disc to drive and close it 2. Try eject disc by right click menu in dolphin 3. Or by an applet in notification area while Dolphin is open(running) then close a Dolphin and try eject by using an applet

The problem is still present in beta3. Solution (from the first comment): Changing the parameter 'dev.cdrom.autoclose' in file '/etc/sysctl.conf' from '1' to '0'
