I have a dream (with Martin Luther King voice): maybe now, when Mageia 3 is out, there will be also Simon introduced in Mageia ...

Hi Marek Laane,

For now if you want I provides a buildable srpm :

ftp://download.asso-linux-online.fr/download/packages-mlo/Mageia/David.david/SRPMS/simon-0.4.1-0.2.mga5.src.rpm

Given that this package is part of KDE4 so I propose to Luc Menut or Nicolas Lécureuil to look into my srpm and see if this package can be imported into mageia repos or not.

Luc or Nicolas what is your opinion about simon package ?

simon-0.4.1 is now imported and submitted for Cauldron (.mga6).

it would be good to test it and give your opinion on this package and if it is positive I possibly could backport it for mga5.
Comment 11 Pavel Fric 2015-06-22 20:25:50 CEST
It's some time, when I made the translation and let it to be committed to Czech KDE SVN, and it was my role in it.

Now I've formatted the /root partition, and freshly installed Mageia 5, also no Cauldron there to be activated. And I could just confirm, that it runs there.

By the way, how to add Cauldron? I've forget how to do it, through commands. I am only translator. "Add a custom media" in MCC? And then?
Comment 12 David GEIGER 2015-07-30 08:30:06 CEST
simon is also available on Mageia 5 Core/Backports_testing.

Closing of this bug as it is now imported.

Comment 13 Samuel Verschelde 2015-07-30 09:53:45 CEST
David, Core/Backports Testing is not supported, so if you really want it to be available and supported (by you), you'd need to make it a real backport by assigning it to QA (and find a tester to test it so that QA just needs to validate it)
Comment 14 David GEIGER 2015-07-30 09:58:29 CEST
Samuel, For now I just want it to be available on mga5 for users who needs it.

Backports process is not ready for now if I says right.
Comment 15 Samuel Verschelde 2015-07-30 10:20:37 CEST
I'd just us to avoid sending lots of packages to backports_testing without a will to push them to backports afterwards. There's not much to be done to allow backports to be pushed, maybe the priority would be to make it work before filling backports_testing with packages.
