During beta1 pre release testing we noticed a problem with LXDE installation: This seems to be hardware dependant: On my notebook (i3 dual core CPU, 4GB RAM), the installer defaults to KDE, when deselecting KDE in custom installation and selecting LXDE instead there is still many kde applications installed and kdm is used as dm defaulting to start KDE (which is only partially installed). /etc/sysconfig/desktop says DISPLAYMANAGER=kdm DESKTOP=KDE4 On my netbook (atom CPU, 1GB RAM) the installer defaults to GNOME, when deselecting GNOME in custom installation and selecting LXDE instead there is no kde packages installed (not even qt), gdm is used as dm defaulting to start LXDE as it should. /etc/sysconfig/desktop says DISPLAYMANAGER=gdm DESKTOP=LXDE
Thierry, something that is related to the installer ?

Iirc there was aproblem with the dm selected, I'll see on beta3 and attach the logs if it's still valid.
@ Oliver Please tell whether you need more time to get the logs. If you don't reply we'll have to close this bug as old, two weeks from now (after that it can of course be reopened when needed)
